Sailing theory

The purpose of this page is access to free elearning resources on the web which provide sailing theory education.

I think w e have found some interesting sites which certainly have educative value. Please feel free to comment on these resources and suggest other sites you might know of.

This fantastic site provides links to instructional materials about almost every sailing topic. It is designed for the American Sailing Association syllabus, but is not that different from the RYA. Brilliant!

The following sites provide a very basic introduction to boats and sailing:

This RYA based Navigation course is in fact very good and at the inermediate level.

Racing basics is what it says, but is also a good introduction to sailing.

This simulator is great fun and you can start to put into practice what you have learned.
Or else try this simulator.

The Sailing Dictionary is excellent.
