Your crew, now as then, can bunk in the cuddy up forward with four bunk and a wood stove. Abaft the cuddy there are separate compartments where the head rope for the net were stowed; the fish hold and the net room. This last now houses a 55 hp diesel auxiliary engine. Right aft is the storage cuddy where all loose gear is stowed. To provide some additional sleeping accommodation bunks have been built in the fish room and the net room, to give a total of six berths. The boat , which is double ended, as were St. Ives boats traditionally designed at that time, is entirely constructed of wood and has internal ballast. It has recently been brought up to the MCA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) specifications and carries two 8 person liferafts, radio and navigation equipment.
